Export premiums for corn and soyabeans shipped from the US Gulf Coast were steady to slightly higher on Thursday due to firm demand, traders said. On Friday, the US Department of Agriculture is expected to report US soyabean export sales in the latest week were 1 million to 1.5 million tonnes and corn sales were 800,000 to 1.2 million tonnes, analysts said.

US wheat export sales are expected to be 200,000 to 500,000 tonnes, analysts said. Egypt's state grain buyer GASC bought 235,000 tonnes of Russian and Ukrainian wheat in a tender on Thursday, traders said. No offers were reported for US wheat, which has faced stiff competition for export business from other countries with ample supplies.

January corn shipments were offered at about 58 cents over CBOT March futures, up 2 cents from Wednesday. January US soyabean shipments were offered at about 60 cents a bushel over CBOT January futures, up 2 cents from Wednesday. Offers for January soft red winter wheat shipments were about 68 cents over CBOT March futures, down 2 cents from Wednesday. Spot hard red winter wheat cargoes were offered at 115 cents over March futures, steady from Wednesday.
